Topic brainstorming:"My Sanctuary"
I've tried very hard for quite some time to figure out a proper way to write an ode to Shea, but I seem to always get flustered. I think the problem is that I don't know exactly what to focus on, if anything. I know so many nooks and crannies of that place and I love it so much, that I don't even know where to begin. The field, how everyone calls it a dump, the different color seat sections, when they win/lose, etc. There's too much clutter in the brain and not one single thing I think of when Shea is brought up. I think I will write simply on the pure aesthetics of it and the feelings experienced when going there during rebirth, like Opening day. But it won't be based on a specific game. In fact, it probably won't even mention that aspect. I think this is the route I'll go . I've never been confused as what the title would be and that is, "My Sanctuary." It just sounds right to me and I'll revolve any thoughts or verses around a chorus that has the phrase in it. I'll continue to build upon this idea so stay tuned... Here's a photograph that I look at to trigger some thoughts. It was taken this past June on a beautiful night. Okay, not so beautiful, but it was a double header that lasted all day because of the rain in between and extra innings! Oh, how do I miss it... The Mets lost the first with El Duque pitching and won the second in those extra frames. This is all for now. I'm spacing out. Good day,
