Cubs- 9
Mets- 5

As I just told my friend, this is supposed to be fun. Pennant race baseball is supposed to riveting. This is just sickening.

Jason Marquis (THE PITCHER!!!!!!) hit a grand slam off rookie Jonathon Niese in the fourth. That was the game. Sure the Mets score 3 more runs after that, 2 of them off the bat of a David Wright home run. But the Cubs scored 4 more after that freak grand slam. It was just an all around deflating game. My heart came up to my throat. It's happening all over again it seems. Niese is this year's version of Humber. They put a highly touted prospect in a huge September game and couldn't come through. It's all too familiar. I don't know if we're going to be able to use those playoff tickets. And it's terrible. I can't write much more. I did the rant last time. I'll just give a short synopsis of last night's experience. As you can imagine, I'm very frustrated

-got a mezzanine seat for cheap on stubhub;

hated the people i sat around. After a heartbreaking home run, they decide they want to do the wave. how??; I was disappointed in the crowd in general, size wise.

the cubs didn't look like they were resting last night;

the bottom of the mets order is killing me (CASTILLO);

Heilman didn't give up a run?!;

Parnell looked good; the give away was a really bad looking towel;

I thought Beltran was out for the season when he collapsed on the field. Luckily he was fine.

citi field sign has been put at the left side of the stadium, as it overlooks shea; odd to stare at it given the recent struggles of the economy;

The infamous The Strength To Be There slogan was taken off the AIG ad. I guess after having to be bailed out or something to that effect, they really don't have the strength to be there.

There's another game tomorrow. Let's hope Johan can do it. Here's the scorecards that I somehow managed to finish during that heartbreaking game. I don't think I'll do another one this year. These games have me too nervous.

I don't have words today, so I'll show you some photos and vids taken yesterday. See ya after game 6.
